Note for next year: Plant more chard. It does so well in our garden. I love leaf crops because you can harvest from them numerous times and they keep replenishing their leaves.
I love how the chopped stems look like confetti! They are good to eat as well.
I love sauteing chard in a bit of olive oil. Sometimes I add lemon or garlic. It's good as is or mixed with other veggies. Add to slightly mashed potatoes to sneak in some greens for picky eaters.
Your garden is looking great, mine is a disaster. First cut worms now mites! I give up!

I;m sorry to hear that. We had serious bag worms or canker worms in the spring that harmed one of our blueberry bushes. Thankfully the greens survived. If it makes you feel better, our tomatoes aren't doing so great. That is gardening, unexpected and fickle!
DeleteI need to plant some of that gorgeousness!!! How wonderful is this!! I have used its stems in soup before as well!!! Yummy!!! Happy gardening friend! Nicole xo
ReplyDeleteI only planted 4 plants, and they are thriving! Our bok choy did great as well, although that is now going to seed. Every year, a learning experience!
DeleteBeautiful leaves! The first picture is my favorite! Wonderful man can break from his garden any vegetables. And I love them the same way as you
ReplyDeleteThank you for following us, Kate, and I just followed you back. My red rose isn't showing up yet, but it soon will I'm sure. Blogger has so many glitches, you know.
ReplyDeleteHave a sweet day.
