A Neighborhood Romp

One of my favorite things to do is take a romp through the neighborhood.  While there are plenty of houses (lots of cabins and A-frames), there are also lots of mature trees and abundant nature.  Gravel roads are the norm.  A friend, a few swords, and a lot of laughter make the romp complete.

Taken at the end of Sept. The trees are changing so subtly. Can you see the houses at the top of the mountain? 

I have no idea what this tree/bush is. No leaves at all, only thorns and these fuzzy, yellow balls. I am so intrigued by it! It is so pretty and unreal.
