It's always good to take advantage of a sunny afternoon. We decided to spend this one exploring Murphy's Farm which is part of Harper's Ferry National Historical Park.
I wonder what it was like to live here.
The old fencing style along a field is such a pretty sight. I can just imagine a herd of cattle grazing leisurely here and a little girl running with a handful of wildflowers.
What a magnificent place! I am always taken with places like these as well as I long to be transported to those times to see how they lived. I love the ruins of the house and the steps....makes the imagination run wild! Happy weekend to you!! Nicole xo
ReplyDeleteIt was just gorgeous. I need to do some more research. I'd love to see what the original farm looked like.
DeleteA lovely place indeed! How nice it would be to see the little girl and those cows grazing. :)
ReplyDeleteIt so amazing how sturdy and solid the structures of old houses were.
