Makes about 24 oz.
Use 1/3 cup coffee grounds in french press. Add 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Steep until very strong. (basically you are making mock espresso) |
Pour coffee into a heat proof container. Add 1/8th cup of honey. |
Shake well to mix. |
Add 2 1/2 cups of milk (cow, rice, soy, almond - whatever you prefer). Now add a pinch of cocoa powder OR a shot of dark chocolate almond milk. |
Mix and Chill. Serve over ice and enjoy!
*Note, you will need to shake before serving as the chocolate tends to settle on the bottom of the container.
When I make plain iced coffee, I follow steps 1-3 and then add additional water until the coffee flavor is to my liking. Then I add just a bit of milk, chill and serve over ice.
I can so do this and boy would it help me on busy days keep my eyes open! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!
ReplyDeleteI make this weekly in the summer. I should probably switch to tea for my afternoon energy boost...but this is such a treat.
DeleteHow cool to make your own Iced Mocha Frappuccino! So much better than running to Starbucks ;-)!
