Meal Planning

My husband does most of the cooking - and is so good at it!  But, I do like to contribute every now and then.  I stumbled across a few "freezer to crock pot" recipes which I thought would be great to prep and have ready to go. One pot meals are my specialty!  I love the ease of making and cleaning up these types of meals.

I made 11 meals total, spent about $130, and about 3 hrs prepping.  All of the freezer bags have the cooking instructions written on them.

Our deep freezer now has a stock of dinners all ready to go. It was exhausting and a bit overwhelming, but I feel quite accomplished at having completed this task.

Just Google "Freezer to Crockpot" or do a search on Pinterest.  There is no shortage of recipe ideas.
The only thing I would change when doing this next time, is to find 4 good recipes and make 3 of each. That way, you can have 3 freezer bags open and add the ingredients for that 1 recipe to each rather than going from start to finish for each one.  I think that would cut your time in half or more.

    1. Good luck. I can see how doing this once or twice a year would be beneficial.

  2. Hi Kate! That is so clever of you! You are very fortunate to have a husband who cooks most of the meals! My husband is always too busy doing things to take time to cook! But he is a good cook too! Your stash looks amazing! Thanks for sharing! Have a nice weekend! Blessings from Bama!
