A Visit Home

My parents live a little over an hour away from me: close enough to visit but far enough to have some space. On a recent visit home, my mom showed me her new bike.  How cute is it?  It needs a bit of love, but for the most part it's in really good condition.

There is something warming to the heart to visit home.  I am blessed to have a close knit family and don't ever want to take that for granted.

"The odorous wild grape clambers over the tumbling wall,
and through the autumnal quiet the chestnuts open and fall.
Sharing Time's freshness and fragrance, part of the earth's great soul,
Here man's spirit may ripen to wisdom serene and whole."

  1. Beautiful views of "home"... :-)

Our children... Live right next to us... It was never planned that way... It just happened...

Daughter/family, one son/family, us.... All in a row.

Thus, the "Grands" have 3 homes. Which has been kind of cool...

    1. I would love that for the most part! I miss gardening with my dad, weeding and watering plants with him is my favorite.
