Soap Nuts

Soap nuts are the fruit of the Ritha tree found primarily in Nepal.

The shell contains "saponin" which is known for it's ability to clean and wash.

Place 5-6 soap nuts into cotton sack and soak in warm water for 10 minutes.

Place in washing machine with soiled clothes. You can use the same nuts up to 3 times.

Hang clean clothes on the line for 100% natural laundry

    1. I also suffer from sensitive skin. Normally, I make my own liquid laundry detergent. I don't use fabric softer or any thing with "perfume". Only essential oils. My sister gave these to me for Christmas, however you can order them online. Sometimes a natural grocer may carry them. They worked quite well and I just love that I can put them in the compost when I'm through.
